Behavioral health & drug treatment
Bon Secours Baltimore Health System's Department of Behavioral Medicine offers an array of behavioral health services for individuals in need of mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. Services for mental health patients include a 31-bed adult inpatient unit for individuals with emergent mental health needs.
Outpatient behavioral health care is offered through the Community Institute of Behavioral Services (CIBS). CIBS consists of treatment programs offering a continuum of care for individuals affected by mental health and substance abuse issues. Our team includes board-certified psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, mental health counselors, certified addiction counselors and psychiatric nurses, all committed to providing confidential, compassionate care.
Adapt Cares and New Hope methadone programs
Our two drug abuse treatment programs provide methadone therapy to individuals with severe opiate addiction problems. Counseling and support services are provided through individual and group therapies. Counseling modalities include self-esteem building and behavior modification. Other services include assessment, counseling and referral for mental health problems, medical problems such as HIV, and other substance abuse problems, such as cocaine and alcohol addiction.
Next Passage
Next Passage is a drug-free intensive outpatient counseling program that services Baltimore City residents. It provides assistance for any adult who is battling drug addiction. This program is court recognized and supports parole, probation and community outreach. A six month follow-up is included.
